Deluxe Aluminum Cargo Frames

Deluxe aluminum cargo frames are constructed of #6061 aircraft aluminum. Frame rails are 1½-inch diameter aluminum tube with .125-inch wall thickness and precision cast aluminum end caps. The seat, box, and cooler sections are #6061 1¾ x 1-inch proprietary tooled aluminum extrusion with the perfect slip joint fit to allow for easy break down and flex while in use under extreme loads.

All RecreTec frames come with 3,500 lb. nylon straps with 1-inch cam buckes. Floor panels and seats are constructed of marine-grade plywood and covered with a skid and water-resistant material.

An all-aluminum model, the Cargo Frame has room for large amounts of gear for up to two dry boxes, side rails, adjustable oarlocks and a cooler.

Options include marine-grade plywood seats (including a rower's seat with accessory trays) and a removable aluminum-framed Skidgard center floorboard.

Aluminum dry boxes are available. (Note: seats use dry box space, doubling as seats with cushioning and floor protection.)

Optional gear trays may be added to the cooler frame, and aluminum tread-plates are available for side rails.

An Aluminum Cargo Frame for Larger Cats

 

You asked for it: A break down version of our best-selling aluminum cargo frame for large, single-tube catarafts. This seven foot model may be used on a 14-foot cataraft.

Like its big brother, this model also has capacity for either front and rear dry boxes (or seats), a center cooler, a removable full-size Skidgard floor (40 lbs.; in two sections for standing and/or gear), double side rails with removable and adjustable oarlock stands, and a rear dry box with a footbar for the rower.

A bolt-on, andgled splash floor (22 lbs.) for passengers' feet is optional.

Dry boxes, full floor, splash floors and box brackets and tractor-style seats are also options.

Basic frame weight: approx. 65 lbs.
